Back at Home

Before I began this post today, I re-read the last post and I just have to apologize for the countless spelling/gramatical errors! I must have still been suffering from some side effects of all my medication because that was horrible to read through! :)
It seems like so much has happend this week, that I'm not sure how to do a "quick" update, but I'll give it a try. Ryleigh was born on Tuesday, June 9th and we were released from the hosptial on Thursday. Allison made it here on Thursday evening, so she got to meet Ryleigh while we were here. So, we've been at home now for 3 nights and so far it is going pretty well. Coming home with a newborn is quite an adjustment and its a little more complicated since I am recovering from the C-section as well. It is extremely difficult to "rest when the baby does" when you know there are a million things that you want/need to get done around the house! Since she was 4 weeks early, there were many things around the house that just hadn't gotten done yet - thankfully Kyle is doing a great job helping me out with that stuff. I'm not the type to just nap or lay around during the day, but I know the importance of it, so I'm trying! :) Ryleigh is doing very well. I still have to wake her up in the middle of the night to feed her, but I think that is mostly because early babies tend to sleep more (so I'm not under any illusions that she will continue in this pattern forever!). She really is a good baby, not very fussy at all, so we have really been blessed. Kyle starts back to work tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous about how I'll do without him here during the days. My mom is taking some time off next week to help me, so that will definitley make it a little easier! Makes me especially thankful for family that is close by as they have all been a tremendous help this week! I've posted some additional pictures below - we've taken so many it's hard to pick which ones to post! I'll try and get some new ones up here every few days or so!

Couldn't leave out the Razorback picture! We had a cute little pink outfit that goes with the hat, but it swallows her right now!

  2. Dasun keeps telling me how cute she was (and he's not much for words). I am so excited to meet her. If you need anything (me to make a grocery run, bring you a meal, company....)please call me. I don't want to bother you, but I want you to know that we would be glad to help.
