And we're back...

So, after my 5 month hiatus from blogging, I've finally returned. I'm hoping to stay more on top of it now, not because I have more time, but because I'm trying to be more dedicated to it! Since it's been forever since the last post, I'll give some updates on us and then follow it up with some additional posts of previous pictures.
Ryleigh will be 15 months old this year - hard to believe it. Below is a list of milestones or "firsts" that she has had since my last post:
  • She started holding her own bottle (it's the little things that become important!)
  • She had her first birthday!
  • She started crawling
  • She has 4 teeth and 2 more about to break through any day
  • She is pulling up on everything and some expect that she'll be walking in a month!
  • She has learned to say mama, da-da, nana, papa (sounds more like caca), pap, bye-bye, frog (this one is distorted sounding also), no-no, and sometimes we can get her to say mimi. So, we're coming along in the speech department! (We're working on Wooo Pig Sooie...but I think we've got a ways to go on that one!)
  • She took her first season of swimming lessons and loves the water
  • She had her first airplane ride - very successfully I might add
  • She visited the beach for the first time
  • She had her first trip to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and SeaWorld

Those are the big items, I know there are tons more that I am probably forgetting! She is getting so big it's crazy. It's so much fun to watch her personality, she giggles all the time and generally loves being around people.

As for Kyle and I, we're doing well - just trying to figure this whole parenting thing out as we go! :) We're loving every minute and Ryleigh certainly keeps us busy and entertained!

I've posted some pictures below. Be looking for more posts and pictures coming soon!

This was at Ryleigh's 1 year photo shoot. The remaining pictures below were her first experience with birthday cake - too cute! :)
