Back to Work

Today was officially my last day home with Ryleigh :( I'll be heading back to work tomorrow. I'm definitely not ready, but am hoping that I'll be better in a few days. Nana is coming to watch Ryleigh tomorrow to help make that first day back a little easier, which I am very grateful for! This time has gone by so fast it is unbelievable. Ryleigh is such a sweet girl and a huge blessing and I'm so glad I was able to take these 12 weeks to spend with her. This morning we shared our last "nap time" together after an especially rough night. (She was up from 2:30 till 4:30 and then only slept for an hour before it was time for her morning feeding).
Kyle and I were talking last night about my fear of missing all her "firsts" once I go back to work - today however I got to experience her first rolling over! She went from her stomach to her back while we were doing a 3 month photo shoot. It was so funny, she got so upset but then did it like 2 or 3 times in a row! We had a friend from church come by to take the photos and Ryleigh did such a good job. She was pretty patient until the very end when she started to get tired and wanted her pacifier! Hopefully I'll have a link to the proofs some time later this week so everyone can see them! Keep me in your prayers this week, as I have a feeling that I'm in for a rough couple of days! :)

  1. Shannon I had this same fear and so far I haven't missed one of Ava's big firsts (at least not to my knowledge). When she was close to doing a new thing we'd work really hard with her while we were home in the hopes of coaxing her to do it. God knows your heart & how important her firsts are to you. Keep that in mind!
