That's right it's a Baby's 1st Pooh! Those of you that know me well are probably laughing, but I would like to clarify that I did try to convince my husband that we didn't need the gigantic pooh for the nursery. He insisted that since we were going with a Winnie the Pooh theme, this was the perfect piece to compliment the nursery decor. I didn't need much more convincing than that! LOL By the way that is the dresser for the nursery in the picture as well!
Anyways, yesterday we went to Tulsa with our good friends David and Suzy to pick up our crib and dresser (and Pooh) from Babies R Us. What we didn't expect was a 100% change of rain all day...but we prevailed. Although it rained all morning, on the way to Tulsa, and while we were registering at Babies R Us, the minute we hauled those boxes out to load, the sun started to come out and it stopped raining! So we made it home with no incidents and we eager to inspect our new purchases. The dresser was easy, just open the box and it was already assembled...the crib, not so much (thanks Brian, I've been saying that phrase all week long!) Kyle decided to tackle the crib this afternoon and I have to say it went pretty well. We did get a little frustrated at one point, so we took a break to go eat with my parents! :) I've posted some before, during and after pictures! Just ignore the blue and yellow paint in the nursery...we haven't changed that yet!
All in all we're very pleased with the furniture and we feel like we've actually gotten something accomplished in the baby department! On another note, we have a huge praise to report this week and that is that we found someone to watch Ryleigh during the days once I go back to work! She is a lady from church that lives literally two minutes from our house! So that has worked out wonderfully and is an answer to many many prayers! Also, just for those of you that are keeping track, I am aware that I am now almost two weeks behind in the slideshow pictures. Don't worry, there will be more, we're just trying to figure out the best time to take them...as you can tell from the previous ones, I never look happy or even somewhat pleased about the fact that I am pregnant. That's because we take those shots in the morning before work as I am rushing around trying to find something that 1) fits, 2) is comfortable and 3) is appropriate for work! :) So....more pictures to come, I promise!
