I've Entered the Blogging World...

So, after some serious thought and prodding by friends, I've decided to start a blog. Since apparantly phone, email and facebook are not adequate enough to keep everyone updated on what's going on in our life! :) I'll admit upfront that keeping this updated might be a struggle for me, so if I don't post for awhile, just be patient.

So here are the basics for those that don't know or who might have forgotten: Kyle and I have been married for a little over 3 1/2 years, we just bought a house this year, and are expecting our first child in July! Honestly, I think that's probably the main reason for this blog, to keep everyone updated on the family expansion. So to that end, the only thing to report at this time is that I am 17 weeks along, due on July 4th. Hopefully the baby will be early or late as I really would prefer to not have a holiday baby. We actually had an appointment today and heard the heartbeat - 150 bpm. Dr. assures me that this number has no indication of gender - so since Kyle and I would like a boy, we are ignoring this particular old wives tale for the time being as most people would say that 150 indicates a girl. Besides all the other old wives tales that we have looked at do indicate a boy :) Just a sidenote - we're obviously going to be thrilled with whatever God provides us with and really just want a healthy baby, but until the end of Feb. we are just going to keep wishing for a healthy boy!

Other than that big item of news, there isn't a whole lot going on. Kyle just took a new job at J.B Hunt, which is keeping him really busy right now. I am still at Tyson and still enjoy my job and enjoy the fact that we both have a job right now. That's all the "updating" I can think of at this time. I'd post pictures, but I haven't figured that out quite yet and I also don't have any good ones at the moment, so that will have to wait for a future post :)
